Welcome to another edition of our newsletter. It's a busy week for news on Tour. Kevin Kisner's wounds from last year's WGC Match Play Championship's final defeat to Bubba Watson (7&6 if you can't remember) have all but gone after the American went one step further over the weekend, beating Matt Kuchar in the final.
Kuchar's run to the final wasn't without controversy though, as the likeable American was caught up in "gimmiegate" with Sergio Garcia. In their quarter-final match-up, the Spaniard went to tap in a putt with the back of his putter on the 7th green before Kuchar had chance to concede the putt. Sergio went on to lip out and as a result lost the hole, which would have been halved if he had just waited for the nod. Onto the future and this week sees a world-first take place as 40 golfers from each of the Challenge Tour, Ladies European Tour and Staysure Tour (over 50s) gather for the Jordan Mixed Open. Same leaderboard, different tees, same prize fund. Keep an eye on next week's newsletter for our round-up. Enjoy the read. |
